Dr. Kenneth W. Lawson
Dr. Kenneth W. Lawson is a fourth generation Bradenton, Florida native. He is a graduate of Manatee High School and The University of South Florida where he received dual Bachelors Degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and performed his residency in eye disease and treatment at the Braverman Eye Center in Hallandale, Florida.
In 2014 he was the recipient of Optometrist of the Year, as awarded by the Florida Optometric Association.
Dr. Jamie S. Lawson
Dr. Jamie S. Lawson is a graduate of Manatee High School and Florida State University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Biology. She received her doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
In 2014 she was honored to receive the President’s Award from the Florida Optometric Association.
Dr. Hang H. Thai
Hang H. Thai, O.D., is a native of Orlando. After attending the University of Florida from 1993 to 1997, she attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, where she received her Doctor of Optometry in 2001. She practiced in the Washington, D.C. area for five years, and returned to her roots to Orlando, in 2006.
For almost 20 years Dr. Thai practiced in Orlando as Dr. Thai and Associates located inside Lenscrafters, Winter Garden. Being a successful small business owner, running a high volume optometry practice, and having a drive to better her profession, Dr. Thai became a board member for the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians (CFSOP). Dr. Thai served for over 10 years including serving as president for 3 years with CFSOP. Under her leadership, the Society in conjunction the State and National Optometric Association promote excellence in vision care through the highest standards of patient care and to enhance and promote the independent and ethical decision-making of its members.
Dr. Thai currently is a Florida Optometric Association (FOA) Trustee, who works tirelessly to enhance the profession of Optometry. Dr. Thai believes that her service to the practice of Optometry, only betters the care and access for the all of Florida population and the community she serves.
Dr. Thai recently became a member of the Bradenton community. She and her family loves the coastal life and the beautiful sandy Gulf beaches the area affords. After a few years of coming to the Bradenton area, Dr. Thai and her family made the permanent move, and resides full time in Bradenton. In addition, long time friend and Florida Optometric Association colleague, Dr. Kenneth Lawson felt that Dr. Thai was the perfect candidate to join Bayshore Eye Care. Drs. Ken and Jamie Lawson trust Dr. Thai in joining and treating the community that they call home. Bayshore Eye Care has gained a truly extraordinary optometrist, who puts the care of the community and patients first.
Dr. Thai, her husband and two daughters look forward to being in the Bradenton community, building relationships and helping her neighbors have access to the best vision care available.
Mirla Navarro
Optical Manager
Mirla handles patient care and oversees the optical department. She enjoys working with patients to assist them with frame selections and adjustments as well as contact lens instruction. Mirla started working for Bayshore Eye Care in 2016 and she has greatly served our patients and their eye care needs.
Bethany Weber
Optometric Technician & Office Administrator
Bethany is an Optometric Technician and is the Office Administrator at Bayshore Eye Care. She has been a part of our team since 2011. She greets our patients at the front desk when they check in, schedules appointments and can answer any insurance questions you might have. She is also responsible for assisting with the preliminary tests that every patient does before seeing the doctor.
